About Suzanne

Suzanne Collins (b. 1962, Hartford, CT) began her writing career in 1991 for acclaimed children's television — including Little Bear, Clarissa Explains It All, and Clifford's Puppy Days.

She achieved global success with The Hunger Games trilogy (2008–2010), which has sold over 65 million copies in the U.S. and been translated into more than 55 languages. The series inspired a blockbuster film franchise and two prequels: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2020) and Sunrise on the Reaping (2025).

Her work is known for exploring war, power, and resistance — a reflection of her background in philosophy and just war theory.
